China and US Restrictions on Chinese Nationals in the High Tech Sector

US companies are looking at a China plus one strategy where they might hold off pulling out of China but redirect their future investments to other countries. If this US led attempt towards decoupling in the high tech sector materializes I think it would be a huge setback for the Chinese planning and policy. Facing pressure from the US and compounded by the fear of losing this war with the US, it is only logical to assume that China may resort to IP theft and stealing talent. This has a consequence for India. The opportunity might come in the form of new foundries if the companies do agree to relocate operations.
