Is Putin the Unipolar Power in 1938?
I think that she reflects a conventional wisdom in Washington about Putin, that he's hell-bent on aggression. This is 1938 all over again. And I subscribe to what's happening on the battlefield, which is the Russians are not that powerful. So this weakness breeds aggression in Munich argument isn't helpful. We should ask, what are our core interests? The simple fact that Ukraine was not in NATO tells me that Russia cares about the more than we do.
