There's been reporting that the West has helped Ukraine plan this counter-offensive. There's obviously a really important balance here to note is that US especially has been very careful in making sure Ukraine doesn't strike far into Russian territory. But they have been helping with intelligence assessments and providing information. The US explicitly has helped Ukraine kill Russians. They provided intelligence that helped the Ukrainians. We are told shoot down a Russian transport full of hundreds of Russian soldiers. It's an important relationship that our sources say has really affected the course of this war.
