The Importance of Volume Challenges

If you believe or know that a patient is bleeding, then give them blood and blood products to correct for that. It doesn't really make any sense to replace volume loss with something other than what the patient has already lost. Giving crystalloid to patients which we know worsens early quagulopathy,. Which tends to mess with the patient's core body temperature. And so it's a bit of a tradeoff.
