A lot of people in the quote unquote evidence based fitness community believe that longer rest intervals are superior. Brad Schoenfeld did a study a couple years ago comparing if memory serves 60 versus 150 seconds of rest per set, but regardless, it was like a short versus a long rest interval. So this isn't a knock on Brad at all. It's more a knock of people who consume science, most leave via Facebook or Twitter.
