The story of Stan Lee as this soul genius who's no longer alive to say anything different has been thoroughly debunked by any historian doing work on this. It is so glaringly at odds with real history, and the documentary doesn't even cite what interviews are from. The company that's known as Marvel went through many corporate iterations and is now owned by Disney. Through all these corporate changes, Lee was the kind of constant. Except for a little period of turmoil in the late 1990s, he basically worked from 1939 until his death.
