Bristol was a radical town and a racist town at the same time. My father, he's a well educated African man. He went to the same boarding school as Kofi Annan. So I grew up thinking my dad had built Concord because obviously he worked British Aerospace. No, he was just an accountant. They moved there because when we moved down from Leeds, my father had arrived in Bristol in the late 50s. That's why he met my mother.
