What Got You Interested in Linguistics?

A lot of people thinke that formal linguistics is just philosophy. It's an empirical science, like an other am and it was fascinating to me how structure this system was. And it was just rethinking a something that was very human. Other animals don't seem to have language on this scale. Im just being able to, like i said, transplant one, i went from one mind to another, is a really interesting thing.
