A data team's primary responsibility is to make sure that decisions are taken in a scientific way. It can be anywhere from just one to two people in an analyst role to analysts and data scientists. But that team really sits in the confluence of a number of other teams because you typically have a business stakeholder asking questions that need to be data-driven.
