What's the Difference Between Logic and Meaning?
Cognitivism was a reaction to behaviorism in the early days of psychology. It took on board certain assumptions from cognitive science and computational ways of thinking about the mind, which fall broadly under this banner. And so it just the idea that what the mind is doing is fundamentally computation, a certain kind of information processing. But there are various ways in which that initial cognitivist view can be challenged later or stufet argues for other ideas.
