Is it possible to affirm this world as it is? One of our big problems is to recover from feeling guilty for being alive. I think the ol felix culpa, the ohappy fougt motife, is an attempt to recover from the er notion of life as a fall. Anyone who knows how to play likes to play a tough game, not a uneasy way. And e life asks for that kind of thing. These are two mythic images interpretive of the essential enigma of life. They ipply to totally different life styles as a consequence of their acceptance.
