China's coercion has pushed Australia closer to the United States in military, national security alignment. China perceives that there is some deterrent effect that it gets from its economic coercion. We don't know what decisions weren't made in a third country because there was a fear of China's economic coercion. But we wanted to point out that a lot of times these economies that are targeted by China proved themselves to be much more resilient than maybe they originally thought they would be.
