In order to be free, you must die before you die. And I think when we when we can realize that we are not that set of patterns of condition. When we can observe ourselves doing that condition dance and shift our relationship to ourselves in that pattern. That's when surrender can start happening because there's a feeling of safety like healing is the willingness to apply loving to those parts of ourselves that are hurting.
