
Space solar power and fish running fevers

Introduction
The UK government has announced a plan to beam in solar power from space. The vision is of a massive orbiting solar array that harvests sunlight. Energy is then beamed down to earth and fed into the grid. By 2050 systems like this they say could be yielding energy at the rate of up to 10 gigawatts. That's the equivalent of 16 Hinckley Point C nuclear power stations.
