'Jesus Is the Son of God'
He began preaching in the synagogues around damascus, among jews. He found relief in the idea that christ had redeemed him from sin. The central thing was he needed to believe, to put his trust and confidence in christ. So this message that paul spread, it was understood in a jewish context but the meaning could change if that message then was carried over to gentiles. What does a gentile greek speaker understand you to mean when you say, jesus is the son of god? It seems that there was ambiguity. And christian doctrines later on, had to develop out of that ambiguity.
