If you visited London, a six mile radius pretty much takes you up to Alexander Palace. There's different theories as to why it's six miles as well. Some believe it was the Metropolitan Boundary where the police boundary was for Metropolitan London at the time. And within that six mile radius, you could be asked about any road - even a tiny cul-de-sac on the outskirts of the city. We can technically be asked anywhere within London.
