There's a very general idea here, perhaps, that we are locked into doing things in certain ways because of decisions that have been made in the past. We can also think sort of biological metaphors, so it's this idea of niche construction in biology where an organism will manipulate its environment such to make itself more likely to reproduce in that environment. So like, what is the specific thing that capital does in order to reproduce itself? And I'm wondering whether or not you think there's a sort of analogy there, and if that makes sense, right?
