Thomas Jefferson: Marbury v Madison led to the doctrine of judicial review. John Marshall's cleverness in the decision is one of the most famous moments in Supreme Court history. We also talk about the personal relations between Jefferson and John Marshall which were always icy at best and mutually suspicious in most instances. I'm just back from a long journey in the American Southwest for listening to America.
