Being Irish Around the World Is Not a Race Issue
I think for our generation and younger, being Irish is a huge plus around the world. I remember it was interesting in England, certainly because England was so class-based. What I found really intriguing is they couldn't place us. We were posh patties,. we were poor patties, we were patties on the make. All that. It was quite perplexing for them. But I've always thought that Irishness now, in our generation and certainly younger generation, is like an attribute. It's a positive attribute. Like being a two-footed footballer. You know, a fellow who play left and right. Because it gives you a certain intro. And
