The French Revolution
A lot of people like myself in America probably don't have the best understanding or command of the history of the French Revolution. And if you ask me, what would I say, I'd say 1789 to 1799. Also, since we are on macro musings, the French Revolution was first of all a financial crisis, a debt crisis. Around 1788, the French crown was completely bankrupt or close to completely bankrupt.
