The first lawsuits arguing that gay people should have a right to marry were filed soon after the stonewall riots. But marriage equality, as it would come to be known, was a peripheral part of the geywright's movement. Evan Evans started working as a probono lawyer for geyright's organizations in the nineteen eighties. He tried to bring what he had written in his law school thesis to his actavism. The main reason why gay people are discriminated against is because of who we love. Who we love is what is disdained here. And so i thought, o k, well, how do we change that?
