The narrative that the Kremlin has been building up for years ever since Maidan in 2014 is that this country has been taken over by Nazis. And here is President Putin announcing what he was doing on television. We will strive for the demilitarization and denatification of Ukraine. Russia cannot feel safe, develop and exist with a constant threat emanating from modern Ukraine.
