What Is the Tone of the Roman Revolution in Rome?

In some ways, there was what we call a revolution in rome between the so called free republic that we associate with men like cicero. That's when you have an autocratic, one man rule of the emperor. So everything in at the very top of roman political society and political chat becomes focused on really a court culture. And seneca really comes into that world a by the time we see him as totally embedded in that court culture.
