Diary of Avoid by Emmy Yagi is a play on words to the Japanese maternal and child health handbook. It's about a 34-year-old white collar employee who resents her job as an office worker in Tokyo, Japan. She pretends she's pregnant so that people won't look at her wrong when they need coffee cups cleared from big meeting or someone needs to make the coffee. The way that the reality in her life that she's living begin to blur are really interesting.
