Is the Profit Cycle Turning Down?
The S&P dividend yield today is 1.66%. The two year yield just broached 4.5%. With the profit cycle turning down, it is quite obvious with this relationship materially different than it was as little as 11 or 12 months ago. Doug: I think that the profit cycle is turning down much harder than most realize in terms of market view. However, I think we're basically muddled value.
