The Effect of Service on Life Outcomes
When non psychological variables are the causes, it's relatively easy to do causal inference. In some cases, you cannot do an experiment, like for example, with getting a child. And so then in these cases, there might be other possibilities, like in one that can be used are natural experiments. Natural experiments are like people more or more or less randomly assigned to some conditions. But the assignment is not done by the researchers, but it's rather done by government or nature.
