Is There a Language in the World of Football?

Messi's cupping of the ears was Raquel Me's celebration. He said it was because Van Hal made some cheeky comments before the game and yeah, maybe that stoked them further but there's a deeper resonance to that gesture. I think if we look at football in terms of some material conditions and how the football emerges from these distinct material conditions, we're going to end up with a vastly more variable landscape than trying to homogenize language. Raymond Baha'i explicitly wants to develop a universal football language. You are eradicating the more localized dialects if you're trying to make a universal language.
