It's a natural human tendency not to want to see problems which, if you see them clearly, are overwel of an overwhelming size. I think this is hugely prevalent right now in a certain kind of intellectual class who take upon themselves to jest how society ought to be run. These coming from people who very often never slaughtered an animal or needed to defend the country and done anything with agriculture. And so it does seem that this isolation is an essential aspect of being able to maintain ideas of which don't workin in practice.
