Introduction
The Government of India has been struggling to create a legal framework for digital privacy. In four years we have seen four different drafts of the digital personal data protection bill. It is all said to be presented in the Parliament during the ongoing budget session. But there is a serious problem with it. The bill remains blind to at least two very important factors. 1. The freedom of the market and 2. The autonomy of users.
