Fed Vice Chair, Lael Brainerd
Lael Brainerd was a key part of the monetary policy decision making process. She now has a much larger platform as vice chair, but in a way it sort of made sense because she's the PhD economist and Powell is more of a lawyer markets guy. I want to talk briefly about Chris Waller, governor Chris Waller as well. He's also relatively new and he's a Trump appointee. Last year the Fed put out a proposal for a climate stress test for financial firms. It'll be interesting to see where that all lands.
