With type inference, the compiler might actually catch stuff that's wrong in your code and now warn you about it. The AOT cache thing basically says, oh, okay, if you want to kind of have that benefit and have your cake and eat it too. So I don't even fully know if people are aware of this feature or not. It's one of those kinds of things where no one knows about it but we're all just trying to make our app a little bit faster.
