The poly bagel theory says we go down into fight or flight, which is that active part of our nervous system. If we can't find a solution, our nervous system puts us in that state of freeze. And then we want to climb back up that ladder out of freeze back into fight and flight,. Then hopefully back up into that rest digest connection safety part ofOur nervous system. So when we think about prevention of clinical anxiety and depression, it's really about setting our life up in a way that allows us to consistently function in that kind of connected, safe, rest and digest state.
