The Belt Buckle With the Red Light

The belt buckle with the red light kind of gets me. It makes me wonder, is this belt part of a life support system? I have heard Ben's falls into the mist much like Han Solo's death in the Force Awakens. Luke Skawakas fall in Bespin, how he landed in that tube, and somehow it broke his fall enough. Palpatine also got tossed into the pit by Darth Vader and apparently turns up in this film. And there's also a last one, Obi-Wan Kenobi. When Commander Cody gives the order to shoot down Obi-Wan on the back of his boge, and he goes, and then just falls into that little lake or
