The legacy of John James Audubon was based in enslaved Africans and his perpetuation of indigenous genocide. He's also used his position as a rich white guy in the mid-1800s to make interactions with indigenous communities that led to violence. And he collected a few skulls in that, and not bird skulls, human skulls. What is he carrying human skulls for? Not a guy that inspires from his work.
