National's Climate Change Policy: A Political Origami

National is trying to shore up the centre so to speak. It's a weird kind of political origami or jujitsu and I don't know whether it'll work, but on the face of it it does seem strange because these are votes that are staying on the right anyway. In New Zealand it's generally one action on climate change. And Mark for Labour they responded at field days with a research announcement or two that amounted to something like $20 million I think. Can they win back their position with the farming community and the policy that was almost agreed or we thought might have been agreed in the past?I think it'll be hard to get support from farmers themselves but partly that's
