How Did Douglas Adapt to the Civil War?
Douglas was never a pacifist. He thought things like the John out brown uprising were morally justified but were very fool party. Brown's plan of trying to get the slaves in the south to rise up would never prevail. Only the war offered the opportunity to put down slavery.
