The Mental Map of Rats

Humans have the advantage of using language to create spatial representations. I can build a mental map of Rome just from descriptions of it or maps of it. And there's lots more to say about that. The mental maps of rats, for example, are established by movement and time. We don't have to experience traveling and Rome.
