Rethinking Identity Politics

I'm not sure the outcome isn't a great degree of despair, even cynicism in middle Australia, middle Britain. There's this breakdown of trust and of respect and people think, well, what do I do with it? Do you know, I talk to Australians, particularly in my generation, they say, 'I'm just so cynical now' It's lack of a common narrative. We should be able to think for ourselves and have different opinions and ideas. But that's a difficult process and I don't know how we get there. Social media certainly doesn't help.
