Is There a Weekend Tournament?
Every single one of the Canadian chess federations tournaments are on a weekend. And it just doesn't feel like there's all that many during the week events, probably because so many people can't make them or it's challenging due to jobs. So I'm not playing two games of a five round tournament and paying 400 bucks for it. That's just not going to work. There was a, or maybe it's still coming up or it hasn't happened yet, but here in Toronto, one of the clubs is hosting a speed chess championship. The Annex Chess Club is doing something in November.
