It just does not delete the information that the crop removed which means that if you shared screenshots of I don't know your banking app or emails or anything really like sensible the data you thought you removed might still be accessible. This vulnerability has been patched in marches android update which is nice but all screenshots cropped before that date can still be uncropped.
