Hope, Community and Resilience
In order to sustain hope, i think it is useful to try to arrange for things to be as good or perfect as possible. I remember a friend who had a diagnosis of cancer, and he said, i decided that whatever happened, i wanted to make myself proud of how i behaved. The way in which i tend to think of resilience is trying to figure out some way of rising to the occasion. And because i eh, have spent a lot of time thinking about music, i think music can be of great use here - because music is itself, moves us into the future.
