Do You Put Your Friends in Your Books?

Most of my characters have an element of me in them. I do very occasionally borrow little quirks or mannerisms that are too good to pass up from real people. More often, i would say, it's strangers or er characters in the media. You know, april is a combination of lots of beautiful, entitled, slightly careless, maybe slightly selfish people that we see in the media all the time. Er hannah is a more straightforward character and she was formed much more out of the fact that obversy for the plot work - you sort of have to retro engineer a certain amount of things. She needed to be the kind of person who would not let this go.
