The Importance of Working Together in Harlem

The 28th Precinct or the Police Department was very concerned that there wouldn't be a repetition of the incident that took place when President Saccoutre of Guinea was there. So it was suggested that a Committee be set up, and this Committee was supposed to be representative of all of the elements in Harlem. And I was selected on that Committee to be responsible for representing and welcoming any dignitary that came to Harlem.
