The Importance of Illustrations

I was quite careful with the pictures. I didn't want to kind of tie it down in the reader's head so that, you know, they had to consider Zanna or Deeba as looking a certain way. So I wanted to keep a certain kind of freedom for their own mind. It's meant to be sort of partly tantalizing. Except the utterlings. I had to draw all the utterlings because that was just too much fun.
