There's a guy, Flynn, he died recently. That was his life's work. He proved after normalizing for all of the other extraneous factors that IQs had gone up significantly. And one of the reasons why he cited they had was conceptual reasoning because of wait for it, video games. Google him and you'll find a bunch of youtubes of him giving speeches, but most people choose to root against. I'd rather be positive than negative. There's another interesting study that's kind of similar where they looked at London cab drivers and just over time their hypocrite. All sorts of stuff.
