There's two, two greatest movies ever that have had a ground dog. Bill murray's in both movies interacting with the ground hog. According to harold ramus, when he would explain a scene to bill murray, murray would interrupt him and say, just tell me, good pill or bad phil. The film was actually filmed in woodstock, illinois, 50 miles from bill murray's hometown.
