The History of the Esma'ilis
The Isma'il's were more or less a unified community until the year 1094. Most of these splits amongst the various Shi'ism communities always revolved around the question of succession to an imam. And as a result, the entire Esma'ilis community also split into two rival factions named after these two sons: Nizari and Mustalians. The Ta'i'ibim Mustalian form in Yemen and in India where they are known as Boras and the Nizari Esma'Ilis who are scattered today in more than 25 countries of the world.
