Are We Going to Be in a Recession?
The revised estimates for g d p came out for the past quarter, and they were lowered down a bit. I didn't expect the downward revision to be that pronounced, but it does sort of confirm our fears that we could be heading towards a recession. The biggest thing tat was striking was the pc e, or the expenditures household, was quite a bit lower than they ad first estimated. So i think i would attribute most of it to fed policy. And then i think the other thing is, you now, thit's been a global tightening,. with the exception of maybe japan and now china, but most major central banks have been raising rates and tiping policy.
