God's Steadfast Love and Mercies Never Come to an End
Jeremiah: God's steadfast love and mercies never come to an end, but they are also new every morning that everlastingly renewed. The prophet turns to this God as his portion and consequently his hope. In the final days of his life he is the prophet weeping over Jerusalem, and warning it of its impending judgment. He is beaten as Jeremiah, and as Jeremiah was like a lamb led to the slaughter to be cut off from the land of the living, so also was Christ.
