i wanted to tell a story about somebody who increased his emotional capacity. i looked at keys's story, and in its epigraph he uses lines from plato's republic. The eye knows two forms of bewilderment, going into the light and coming back out of it. As thoreau says, in wildness, in bewilderment,. lies the salvation of the world.
